A. Cole Shooter

Cole Shooter is an attorney that enjoys helping people build a good life and plan for the future.

As a Lubbock native and graduate of the Texas Tech School of Law with a business law concentration, Cole is quite sensitive to the needs of West Texans. Cole also completed an MBA from Wayland Baptist University after a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech in Political Science. Prior to law school, Cole worked for several years as a broadcast journalist and show host for the Lubbock ABC Radio Affiliate, KFYO News, as well as contributing both on-air and written content for affiliates in Abilene and Victoria, Texas.

While at Texas Tech, Cole served as president of numerous student organizations and as an opinions columnist for the Daily Toreador, Texas Tech’s student newspaper. Cole also served as president of the Federalist Society Chapter of Tech Law. During law school, Cole clerked for the Honorable Ann-Marie Carruth.

Cole is married to Gail, who teaches history at their alma mater, Lubbock High School. Gail and Cole are both members of the Chancel Choir at First United Methodist Church. They have one son, Zane, and two spoiled dogs, Lilly and Walker.

Ben Agee

Ben Agee oversees the Shooter & Agee Law Group Dallas office, focusing on business law, real estate, and estate planning. Prior to teaming up with Cole Shooter, Ben worked at two other Dallas-area law firms doing a variety of litigation and non-litigation work.

In 2011, Ben graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. After graduating from college, he held jobs in several industries including sports training, food service, and landscaping. Ultimately, Ben decided to fulfill a lifelong ambition and enrolled in law school. He graduated cum laude from Texas Tech School of Law in 2017. During law school, Ben wrote for both the Texas Bank Lawyer and the Texas Tech Law Review, and was involved in several student organizations.

Ben helps business clients of all sizes start and maintain businesses, prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, and generally provide guidance for the problems facing businesses and business owners. Ben helps his estate planning clients prepare for the future and ensure their wishes are fulfilled.

Ben is a member of the Solo & Small Firm section of the Dallas Bar Association, as well as the Corporate Counsel, Estate Planning, and Real Estate Sections of the State Bar of Texas. When he’s not practicing law, Ben enjoys traveling, cooking, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Martha, and their two dogs, Apollo and Ollie.
